My Story

Hey there! I’m Tiffany Atkinson, a business consultant and keynote speaker who’s passionate about empowering women to live out their career dreams in business, leadership, and the workplace.

I’m also a multi-passionate entrepreneur whose love for working with female founders and small business owners is rooted in my experiences founding three companies in my twenties.

My diverse career includes serving three years in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, working five years as a freelancer, founding a youth-focused nonprofit, and running a boutique branding and marketing agency for four years.

This unique combination of roles led me to work on projects ranging from running a military legal office to branding solopreneurs to spearheading corporate marketing strategies and developing entrepreneurship curriculums for nonprofits.

It also exposed me to the challenges female founders face when self-funding and building companies from the ground up and how much more difficult those challenges are when you come from a marginalized background.

I started my first business, a boutique branding and marketing agency, based on my passion for helping others, despite having no business experience.

While running my first company, I burned out trying to live up to other people’s expectations for my career.

I struggled with confidence so much that I dreaded consultations, fumbled pitches, and prayed for my dream clients to “Just show up already!”.

I minimized all that I brought to the table, undervalued my expertise, struggled to fit in with people I thought I had to impress, and couldn’t stick to my rates for fear they’d make me miss out on my dream clients.

I wore multiple hats in my company, never had enough time to work on growing my business, and was constantly exhausted trying to be a #doerofallthethings.

I even considered giving up on entrepreneurship altogether because I felt so lost.

Until one day, I had enough and decided that despite those challenges, I was determined to put all that in the past and turn things around in my business.

And so, through sweat, elbow grease, and a few tears, I worked my a** off to transform my first company from a part-time side hustle into a profitable business.

The only problem was that I realized I was still unfulfilled when I finally got everything I thought I wanted.

So in 2021, I finally stopped fighting the fact that my vision for myself and my career had evolved and accepted that it was time for my next chapter.

I took the leap of faith to close my first two companies, rebrand, start my career over, and launch Tiffany Atkinson Consulting — a decision that became the turning point of my entrepreneurial journey.

Since that decision, I’ve made it my mission to help as many women as possible redefine their career goals, unapologetically go after what they want, and create thriving careers where they live out their dreams.

I do this through my signature done-with-you style my consulting clients know me for today and by delivering keynotes and workshops nationwide that empower women to thrive and excel in their careers, regardless if they’re entrepreneurs, working professionals, or business leaders.

I also volunteer my free time to organizations serving small business owners in my local Indianapolis community, including as an advisory board member for an entrepreneurial innovation school.

My unique journey has provided me with the expertise and perspective my clients know me for today and the drive to help fellow women make their career dreams reality.
